If you have ever spent any time researching different lift chair brands, likely one of the first names you come across is Golden Technologies. Golden Technologies offers a number of different types of home medical equipment and Golden Lift Chairs are well known for their quality and dependability.

While today Golden Technologies manufactures a number of different types of home medical equipment, they got their start making lift chairs back in the mid-eighties. From day one, they set themselves apart from other lift chair manufacturers of the time, by focusing on quality as opposed to quantity.

At a time when other lift chair manufactures were simply buying cheap recliners and throwing a lift system into them, Robert Golden, the founder, was custom building a frame that could withstand the stress of being raised and lowered. They also only used an electric lifting system, while the other manufacturers were still using the very dangerous spring system.

Today, more than 20 years later, Golden Lift Chairs are still being made with safety in mind and are one of the most popular brands of lift chairs. Golden Technologies offers a number of different models. Some of their different models simply offer a different design, but others are designed to address specific situations, such as limited space.

Golden currently offers 6 different series of lift chairs, which are described below.

Value Series – As the name implies, Golden’s Value Series is designed to be comfortable and practical, while still being very affordable. As a result, these chairs do not have as many features, but are available at a very low cost.

Traditional Series – The Traditional Series is very popular, because it features lift chairs with a very classic design and offers a number of different fabrics.

Comforter Series – The Comforter Series by Golden is designed to fit people of all sizes and offers a number of different lift chair models. There are several extra wide lift chairs available in the Comforter Series, including Golden’s PR-502 Bariatric Lift Chair, which supports up to 700 pounds and has a 33 inch seat width.

Signature Series – The Golden Signature Series offers lift chairs with special features, such as flip up armrests, special storage compartments, and built in trays. The Signature Series also contains a wall hugger lift chair, which can be placed very close to the wall, but still completely recline, making it a great choice for areas with limited space.

MaxiComfort Series – The MaxiComfort Series is a very special line of lift chairs, which offers the zero-gravity sitting position. This position was first developed by NASA and positions the feet and back at an angle that ensures proper circulation and can also help relieve back pain.

Designer Series – The Designer Series offers a number of very luxurious and extremely comfortable lift chairs. Brisa Fabric, which is like leather only much more breathable and easier to clean, is available, as well as suede, real leather, and many other fabric choices. A wall hugger lift chair is also available in the Designer Series, as well as many other very attractive lift chairs.
