What is Psoriatic Arthritis?

Psoriatic Arthritis is not as common as rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis, but it does occur frequently. Psoriatic arthritis shares many of the sames types of arthritic symptoms, including joint pain and inflammation, however it is accompanied by psoriasis. Psoriasis, which is a skin condition, often occurs before the arthritic symptoms are present, but this is not always the case with psoriatic arthritis.
